Assessment and Policy Recommendations for Domestic Illegal Firearms Trafficking

This was my 2012 Masters thesis on firearms trafficking. I present a three level approach, based on scope and complexity, to the assessment of firearms trafficking, assess US trafficking at these levels and present policy recommendations applicable to the different levels. Topics and areas covered include gun laws, gang involvement with military thefts and trafficking, assessment of the BATF as inspectors and law enforcers, overview of BATF programs and policies, FFL regulation, gun tracing data, utilizing task forces, and trafficking into Canada and Mexico.
